Born from the creative partnership between Sam the Cooking Guy and Grain & Grit Collective, Coo Coo’s Nest delivers bold, flavorful chicken with a 70’s-inspired twist. Known for his approachable yet irreverent cooking style, Sam brings his signature flair to reimagine fried chicken for the modern palate. The challenge was to create a brand that not only broke free from the familiar red-and-yellow playbook of traditional chicken chains but also captured the fun, funky energy behind its name.

Leaning into the retro roots of fried chicken’s rising popularity in the 1970s, the brand identity bursts with vibrant colors, groovy textures, and playful shapes, complemented by bold typography that channels the era’s funky vibe. The result is a standout brand that feels fresh, nostalgic, and unapologetically fun, perfectly embodying the spirit of Coo Coo’s Nest.
